Karen Hills was part of the Charlton team who lifted the Adobe Women’s FA Cup in 2005 and now leads them from the dugout.
Hills has been in position since March 2021, and guided the side to a fifth-place finish in her first season at the helm – also the club’s first year as a fully professional outfit.
Charlton progressed further in 2022/23, finishing fourth in the Barclays Women’s Championship table, with forward Melissa Johnson, who has left the club over summer, collecting the Golden Boot award.
With a second place finish last term, it seems Hills’ results are going in the right direction.
With her vision and passion for the club beyond doubt, she will be instrumental to the team’s aim to bring WSL football to The Valley – which will host all Charlton’s matches this season.
