Arsenal ran out 5-0 winners in the North London derby while Manchester United strung together a sixth successive win in the Women’s Super League with victory over Crystal Palace.
Elsewhere in the WSL saw Chelsea overcome Everton at Kingsmeadow thanks to Lauren James’ late winner while West Ham and Leicester City enjoyed victories over Brighton & Hove Albion and Aston Villa.
Here’s how it all happened…
Gunners grab bragging rights
Arsenal maintained their unbeaten record at home in the North London derby with an emphatic 5-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners took the lead through Clare Hunt’s 15th minute own goal before Mariona Caldentey doubled their advantage 20 minutes later.
Frida Maanum added a third not long after the restart with a strike that took a deflection off Hunt before Alessia Russo opened her own account when she finished off a counter-attacking move seven minutes later.
Emily Fox then completed the scoring with a superbly taken long-range strike in the 90th minute.

Red Devils down Eagles
Manchester United recorded a sixth successive WSL win with a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Leigh Sports Village.
Elisabeth Terland broke the deadlock after just nine minutes of play with a composed finish after she was put through on goal by Hinata Miyazawa.
Palace restored parity late in the first-half through Mille Gejl, the Dane’s effort beyond the reach of United shot-stopper Phallon Tullis-Joyce as the two sides entered the break level.
Terland added her second goal of the game to restore United to the ascendancy not long after the hour mark when she fired into an empty net after rounding Milla-Maj Majasaari.
Grace Clinton then finished the job with five minutes left on the clock with a well-timed header.

James leaves it late for Blues
Lauren James’ 90th-minute winner saw league-leaders Chelsea come from behind to run out 2-1 winners over a determined Everton side.
After a goalless first-half, the Toffees took the lead in the 51st minute when Kelly Gago’s first-time finish whistled into the net.
Mayra Ramirez equalised for the hosts with a composed finish 12 minutes later after deftly receiving Johanna Ryitting Kaneryd’s pass on the turn.
With time running out, the two sides seemed set to share the spoils until James found herself free in the area, firing low to complete the comeback for Sonia Bompastor’s side.

Hammers strike down Seagulls
Goals from Shekiera Martinez, Riko Ueki and Viviane Asseyi helped West Ham to a 3-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Martinez broke the deadlock in the 11th minute when she reacted quickest from Melina Loeck’s save to slot home the opener before Nikita Parris drew the Seagulls level minutes later with a close-range strike.
Ueki put the Hammers out in front on 64 minutes with a composed finish after winning the ball on the edge of the box.
Asseyi added a third not long after from the penalty spot when she was adjudged to have been brought down in the box.
The result sees West Ham climb into eighth place.

Cayman and Thibaud outfox Villans
Leicester City ran out 3-0 winners over Aston Villa courtesy of a Janice Cayman double and a strike from Julie Thibaud.
Cayman put the Foxes out in front just before the half-hour mark when she fired home from Sophie Howard’s cutback.
The Belgian extended her side’s lead with a well-taken volley from outside the box in the 49th minute.
Julie Thibaud completed the scoring when she prodded the ball in from close range moments later to leave Leicester City six points clear of the relegation places in 10th.
