Records were smashed this past weekend (16 & 17 March) across the Barclays Women’s Super League, including the all-time cumulative attendance record for the division.
With Chelsea securing a club-record attendance of 32,970 at Stamford Bridge during their win over Arsenal on Friday evening, that figure saw the cumulative attendance for the 2023-24 Barclays WSL campaign surpass the total for the entirety of last season, with 717,721 fans having attended a game this term.
The previous record stood at 689,297 during 2022-23, with that being achieved across a completed 132 game season.
The new record however has been achieved in just 96 fixtures, with over 36 games still yet to be played in the Barclays WSL.
