Crystal Palace are the new team in town in the Barclays WSL and will be keen to prove that they are here to stay after battling their way to promotion last term.

Since forming in 1992, they have risen up the football pyramid and enjoyed a season to savour in 2023/24, holding off stiff competition from the likes of Sunderland and Charlton to top the Barclays Women’s Championship.

In a season where they scored 55 goals and conceded just 20 in 22 matches, Palace’s promotion party was enjoyed by a record crowd of 6,796 at Selhurst Park, who watched the club seal top flight football with a final day draw.
