It only took Gareth Taylor five months to win his first trophy as Manchester City manager and the Citizens have been a model of consistency in his four-year tenure.
The former striker lifted the Adobe Women’s FA Cup in November 2020, while the Citizens are yet to finish outside the top four in the Barclays WSL.
As a player, Taylor was a renowned striker and won 15 caps for Wales men. Manchester City Men even signed him for £400,000 in 1998 and he scored nine goals in 48 games.
Taylor also played for the likes of Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United in a 20-year career, before moving into coaching in 2011.
He was in charge of the Manchester City men’s under-18s and under-16s side before getting the nod to replaced Nick Cushing in May 2020.
City have finished second in the Barclays WSL three times since, including on goal difference last season, while they have won Adobe Women’s FA Cup and one Women’s League Cup in his tenure.
He signed a three-year contract in March 2024.
