Tottenham manager Robert Vilahamn joined the club last summer from BK Hacken on a two-year deal, having previously spent his whole career in his native Sweden.
One year in and Vilahamn, 41, has already decided to extend his stay in north London, signing a new contract with the club that will run until 2027.
The new contract offer was on the back of an impressive first season in England, guiding Spurs to an inaugural Adobe Women’s FA Cup final, beating Manchester City along the way, and a sixth-placed Barclays WSL finish, which included a first-ever win over rivals Arsenal.
His first year was about establishing the team, and some big wins, historic moments and brilliant goals put his stamp on this Spurs side, but his next challenge will be pushing on to even greater heights.
Under Vilahamn, BK Häcken were runners up in the Swedish Premiership Damallsvenskan, qualifying for the UEFA Women’s Champions League, a feat he will be hoping to repeat at Brisbane Road.
