Chelsea opened up a commanding eight-point gap at the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League after beating Manchester City 2-1 at Etihad Stadium.
Elsewhere, Arsenal avenged their loss to Liverpool in the FA Cup with a 4-0 win over the Merseysiders on Saturday while Manchester United saw off Aston Villa with a fine away performance.
Leicester City claimed an impressive win over Brighton and Hove Albion while Everton put three past bottom side Crystal Palace and West Ham beat Spurs 2-0 in their London derby.
Chelsea march on
Chelsea came from behind to beat Manchester City 2-1 at Etihad Stadium as they edged closer to a sixth consecutive WSL crown thanks to Erin Cuthbert’s injury-time winner.
Kerolin gave the home side the lead after 32 minutes when the winger scored a wonderful individual goal but Chelsea levelled four minutes into the second half through Aggie Beever-Jones’ calm finish as she bagged her seventh goal of the season.
The third fixture between the two teams in just eight days was eventually settled by Cuthbert’s diving header in the 91st minute after Ashley Lawrence provided the cross.

Arsenal power past Liverpool
Arsenal treated their home faithful to a brilliant performance as they downed Liverpool 4-0 at Emirates Stadium.
Caitlin Foord opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark with a close-range finish after the visitors failed to clear their lines from a corner.
The Gunners’ second goal came minutes later via Reds midfielder Jasmine Matthews after she put the ball through her own net from Arsenal skipper Kim Little’s cut-back.
An impressive effort into the far corner from Mariona Caldentey just before half-time made it 3-0.
The scoring was completed by another own goal from Matthews on 69 minutes when she diverted Beth Mead’s cross past Liverpool goalkeeper Rachael Laws.

Manchester United keep pace in the race for second place
Manchester United made sure they maintained their pursuit of second place in the WSL with a commanding 4-0 triumph over an Aston Villa side just one point above the relegation place.
The result means Marc Skinner’s team are now seven points clear of their city rivals in fourth with a top three finish firmly in United’s hands.
Two goals from Elisabeth Terland put the away side in control during a dominant first-half performance. The striker scored from close in after connecting with Celin Bizet’s pass for her first goal and then heading home an excellent Jayde Riviere cross for her second.
Grace Clinton’s chip just before the break made it 3-0 and United made sure they netted in the second half too when Leah Galton got their fourth via a Lucy Parker deflection.

Foxes beat Seagulls to help survival bid
Leicester City’s 3-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion sees them take a massive leap towards WSL safety.
All the damage was done in the first half from a Foxes perspective with Shannon O’Brien opening the scoring with a low shot following a Brighton error.
Another Seagulls’ mistake let Leicester in for their second as Saori Takarada finished neatly from Hannah Cain’s cross after a surging run down the right.
The hosts’ third goal came in fortuitous fashion as Brighton’s Rachel McLauchlan put though her own net after the ball ricocheted off the defender following Shana Chossenotte getting to Cain’s ball in.
Second-half goals from Brighton’s Madison Haley and Fran Kirby made it a tense final 15 minutes but Leicester held on for an important win.

Everton keep Palace at the bottom
Everton picked up a fine win at home to relegation-threatened Crystal Palace which kept them at the foot of the table.
Justine Vanhaevermaet headed home Sara Holmgaard’s cross for the Toffees’ first goal.
A minute into the second half Holmgaard went from provider to goal scorer with a header of her own, this time connecting with Kelly Gago’s cross.
The pair then swapped roles for Everton’s third, Gago lifting the ball smartly into Palace’s goal after chasing down Holmgaard’s long ball.

West Ham claim London-derby win
West Ham claimed the spoils over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-0 win at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.
Verena Hanshaw was the architect of the first Hammers’ goal after 15 minutes when, after skilfully manoeuvring down the left, her shot deflected in off the standing leg of Josefine Rybrink with it going down as an own goal.
The returning France international Viviane Asseyi made sure of the win with a fine free-kick in stoppage time which condemned the visitors to a fifth consecutive league defeat.
West Ham move into eighth as Spurs drop to ninth.
