Manchester United moved to within five points of leaders Chelsea at the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League thanks to a 2-0 win over Leicester City.
Goals from Melvine Malard and Leah Galton were enough for United, before Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Everton and Liverpool both picked up victories to move comfortably into mid-table, while Manchester City and Arsenal were both made to fight hard for their wins to keep up the pressure for a place in the top three.
United continue winning run
Manchester United sealed their seventh consecutive BWSL victory with a comfortable 2-0 win over Leicester City.
Melvine Malard gave the hosts their opener after 19 minutes, after the French striker showed a calm head in front of goal to beat Janina Leitzig following a through ball from Ella Toone.
It was just reward for a dominant opening spell from United, and Malard turned provider to double the lead just before the break.

She produced a deft pass to allow Leah Galton to break in behind and the latter made no mistake to slot home.
Victory keeps Marc Skinner’s side second in the table behind leaders Chelsea and takes them ahead of their points tally from the whole of last season.
Toffees return to winning ways
Everton eased their relegation fears with an impressive 2-0 win away at Aston Villa.
Victory for the Toffees leaves them 10 points clear of the drop, as they claimed their fourth league win of the season in the West Midlands.
Six-time Barclays Women’s Super League winner Maren Mjelde put Everton ahead after just 16 minutes.

The Norwegian pounced on a bouncing ball in the Villa box to smash home on the half-volley for her first goal in Everton blue.
Honoka Hayashi then made it two just before the hour mark, with the Japanese international converting on the spin after Katelin Talbert spilled a cross in the box.
Matthews the matchwinner for Liverpool
Jasmine Matthews’ strike gave Liverpool a 1-0 win away at Crystal Palace.
Both sides changed managers in the week leading up to the match, but it was Liverpool interim boss Amber Whiteley that got the better of new Palace manager Leif Smerud.
Matthews’ 10th-minute goal was the difference, as the defender smashed home after Palace were unable to clear a corner.
Palace pushed hard for a way back, and Rachel Laws produced two fine saves to deny My Cato from equalising in the second half but the Eagles remain at the foot of the table.
Fujino earns three points for City
Aoba Fujino’s late winner earned Manchester City a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Fujino helped get City off to a great start in the capital, setting up Vivianne Miedema for City’s opener after just 11 minutes with a perfect cross for the Dutch forward to nod home.

But Spurs struck back before the break, Bethany England lofted the ball over Ayaka Yamashita after winning the ball high up the pitch.
However, Fujino had the final say 12 minutes from time, as she latched onto compatriot Yui Hasegawa’s pass before slamming home inside the box to grab the winner.
Brighton and Chelsea share the spoils
Chelsea dropped points for just the second time this season with a 2-2 draw away at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Blues led early through Sandy Baltimore but the Seagulls struck twice to lead at the break, before Lauren James equalised in the second half to earn the leaders a point.
It was a perfect start for Chelsea, as Baltimore volleyed home from the edge of the box after 16 minutes.

Marisa Olislagers struck just six minutes later to bring the Seagulls level before Vicky Losada put the hosts ahead at half-time.
Lauren James then brought Chelsea level on the hour mark, converting on the rebound after Mayra Ramirez’s shot was saved.
It means both sides kept up their respective unbeaten records, with Chelsea yet to taste defeat in the league and Brighton unbeaten at home this season.
Gunners seal comeback victory over Hammers
Arsenal produced a quickfire second-half comeback to beat West Ham United 4-3.
Goals from Katie McCabe, Leah Williamson and Mariona Caldentey all in a six-minute spell was enough to turn the tables on the contest, which had seen West Ham build an early 2-0 lead.
Amber Tysiak scored twice in five minutes to put the visitors 2-0 up after 12 minutes before Chloe Kelly scored the first goal of her loan spell to pull one back before half-time.
