Promotions secured for twelve match officials in the Women’s leagues
Twelve match officials will operate in new roles during the 2023-24 season after securing promotions within the Women’s Professional Game Select Group.
Melissa Burgin, Phoebe Cross and Adewunmi Soneye have been successful in reaching the level of 1W, meaning they will referee Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures in the forthcoming campaign.
Supporting the aforementioned trio as assistant referees in the BWSL will be six officials as they combine that role with refereeing in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
Meanwhile, three fellow officials will join them as assistants in the top flight of the women’s game whilst continuing to referee at the level of 3W.
