WSL Football launches new content series to coincide with the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025

WSL Football presents the Barclays Women’s Super League (BWSL) Swiss Challenge, a 5-episode summer content series in partnership with Sky Sports featuring Maz Pacheco and Miri Taylor.

With 81 out of 368 players from 16 nations due to feature in the UEFA Women’s European Championship 2025, the Barclays Women’s Super League (BWSL) and BWSL2 are the most represented leagues at the tournament, and the friends and players will be heading out to Switzerland with a challenge to watch as many players from both leagues as possible.

Across 14 days, the duo will travel across the country to attend 8 matches during the group stages with a mission to spot players, complete challenges, meet fans to hear about their Euros experience and provide the inside track on what it is like to play against, or with, some of the best players from Europe.

The 5-part series will be available to watch across BWSL platforms including long-form episodes on YouTube, short-form versions on TikTok and Instagram with content also appearing across Sky Sports social and digital platforms.

Fans travelling to the tournament are encouraged to participate too with downloadable challenge cards available on the BWSL website.

The Women’s Euros in 2022 broke records with over 17.4 million viewers watching the final which resulted in a 200% increase in attendance to BWSL matches. BWSL club accounts saw social media engagement grow over 90% in the weeks following the tournaments and players became household names.

This is the first time WSL Football have produced a content series in-house and the first time the players have featured in something like this.

Commenting on the series, Maz said: “I’m taking part in this challenge because I want to increase the visibility of women’s football and support everyone at the Euros.

“I’ll be seeing friends and the top players I come across week in week out in a whole new environment, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform on a different stage at a major tournament.

“For anyone at home, let’s get behind and empower the players. Together, we can heighten the hype around women’s football.”

Miri said: “Switzerland is the place to be this summer and I can’t wait get out there and meet some of the fans on the ground.

“There is so much talent on show and we’re going to do our best to track them all down and watch them live for our Swiss Challenge.

“For those of you who can’t get there, we’ll be soaking up all the atmosphere to give you a taste of what it’s like in and around the grounds for the Euros.”

WSL Football is supporting its players this Summer, but it should be noted that WSL Football is not an official sponsor or partner of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, its participating teams, and this content is not associated with them.
